McCrocklin, a B-24 Liberator Bombadier and prisoner-of-war from the 744th Bomb Squadron during World War II, April 4, 2019, at the Barksdale Global Power Museum at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. McCrocklin’s B-24 was shot down in 1944 over Zagreb, Yugoslavia, and he was taken as a POW by Nazi soldiers to the Stalag Luft I POW
