    LAGOS, Nigeria – Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas, Chief of Naval Staff of the Nigerian Navy, cuts the ribbon to officially open the Nigerian Navy’s new Maritime Domain Awareness Training Center on March 14, 2019. This facility will improve the Nigerian Navy’s capabilities to interdict pirate activity in their territorial waters. The opening of the Maritime Domain Awareness Training Center coincided with the beginning of Obangame Express 2019, which is a multinational naval training exercise focused on deterring piracy and illicit trafficking in the Gulf of Guinea.
