Airman 1st Class Benjamin Jones, 74th Aircraft Maintenance Unit crew chief, washes a panel on an A-10C Thunderbolt II, Feb. 25, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. To guarantee Moody’s fleet of 49 A-10C Thunderbolt II’s are in peak warfighting condition, Airmen from the 23d Maintenance Group dedicated over 10 hours washing each A-10 to ensure the aircraft was free of any surface or structural deficiencies that could present a safety hazard during flight.
