Sgt. Stevon A. Booker will be presented the Distinguished Service Cross for his heroic action during the initial ground assault into Baghdad, Iraq, known as the Thunder Run. Staff Sgt. Booker was killed in action on April 5, 2003, while returning fire during combat operations as his unit (1-64 Armor) attacked into the heart of the city.
