190312-N-MA259-2002 CAMP PENDELTON, Calif. (March 12, 2019) Builder 2nd Class Joseph Schaffer (top), from Jefferson City, Missouri, assigned to Naval Construction Battalion 5 (NMCB-5), checks the alignment of the first few trusses installed on a 16x32 Southeast Asia hut. NMCB-5 is building the huts during Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19) for use by Navy Expeditionary Medical Training Institute on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Working hand-in-hand, Navy expeditionary force and 1st Marine Logistics Group capabilities complement each other in the building of advanced naval bases.
