(March 12, 2019) Builder 3rd Class Randall Kooiman, from San Diego, California, assigned to Naval Construction Battalion 5 (NMCB-5), adds nails to lumber studs before installing the side wall for a 16x32 Southeast Asia hut. NMCB-5 is building the huts during Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19) for use by Navy Expeditionary Medical Training Institute on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Working hand-in-hand, Navy expeditionary force and 1st Marine Logistics Group capabilities complement each other in the building of advanced naval bases.
