U.S. Marines assigned to the newly formed Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point (MCAS) shooting team load their pistol magazines during a practice shooting session at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, March 8, 2019. The Marines were preparing for the Regional East Marksmanship Competition at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, from March 15-29, 2019. The competition is one of four division matches throughout the U.S. Marine Corps in which service members and the East Coast’s best shooters participate in numerous small arms courses of fire.
