    U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit

    Texas A&M ROTC Cadet Brannon Sickels was awarded the Lt. Gen. Benjamin C. Freakley Trophy at the U.S. Army Small Arms Championships at Fort Benning, Georgia March 10-16, 2019.

    This marksmanship excellence award is presented to the top cadet having the highest combined score from all rifle and pistol excellence in competition matches.

    During the All Army Championships, Sickels earned his Distinguished Pistol Shot Marksmanship Badge. Since he already earned his Distinguished Rifleman Badge, he is now double distinguished.

    The All Army is annual, week-long competition that is hosted by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit is the Army's premier marksmanship competition that tests Soldiers on both their primary and secondary weapons through 11 different courses of fire. (U.S. Army photo by Michelle Lunato)
