(GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba) - A Joint Task Force Trooper with the Maritime Security Detachment removes his combat gear while submerged during recertification on water survival skills, February 22, 2019. This certification must be completed by all members of the United States Coast Guard every six-months. This is just one of the events that challenge troopers during this certification, which also includes a 75 meter swim, two minutes of treading water and one minute of drown proofing.
