190227-N-DS193-058 EAST CHINA SEA (Feb. 27, 2019) - Musician 3rd Class Jared Goodrum, from Albuquerque, N.M., plays alto saxophone with the 7th Fleet Band, Far East Edition during an African American History Month observance on the mess decks of U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.
