Master-at-Arms 1st Class Lisa Chambers, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 7, and Chief Boatswain’s Mate Tyrus Jackson, assigned to NMCB 1, raise NMCB 7’s battalion flag to signify that NMCB 7 has assumed authority of contingency construction at Kandahar Airfield and various sites throughout southern Afghanistan, Bahrain and Kuwait. NMCB 7 and its detachments are one of two Seabee battalions conducting contingency construction and deconstruction in support of the International Security Assistance Force as part of Task Force Forager, operating in the U.S. Central Command area of operation.
