(Feb. 1, 2019) – Sailors assigned to the air department of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) look up at the new arresting gear engines being delivered. George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a four-year project performed once during an aircraft carrier’s life-cycle that includes refueling of the ship's two nuclear reactors, repairs, upgrades and modernization.
