Soldiers with the 1171st Medical Company Area Support, with the Michigan National Guard, and Soldiers with the 181st Medical Company Area Support, with Puerto Rico’s National Guard, participate in a transfer of authority ceremony in Powidz, Poland, Feb. 6.
The 181st MCAS transfers authority to the 1171st MCAS, the incoming medical unit in Poland.
The arrival of the 1171st MCAS marks the initial rotation of Soldiers of the medical facility providing health care to approximately 3,500 Soldiers deployed to Poland in support of Atlantic Resolve.
