    Iraqi army soldiers and Spc. Melvine Syphertt, a Civil Affairs Soldier, along with other members of his unit from the U.S. Army's 215th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade, Fort Drum, N.Y., stand guard while a fellow teammate gathers information on the needs of this small village, June 18. Civil Affairs missions are one way in which U.S. forces can positively interact with Iraqi citizens. The U.S. Army Soldiers involved are assigned to Forward Operating Base Lutafiyah located in the southern sector of Baghdad, Iraq.
