    8,000 CASCOM AIT Soldiers head home for the holidays

    Sgts. 1st Class Joe McCampbell and William Smith, both from 16th Ordnance Battalion, 59th Ordnance Brigade, check the carry-on bags for prohibited items of ordnance advanced individual training (AIT) Soldiers Dec. 20, 2018 prior to entering security for their flights from the Richmond International Airport. The node processed 2,000 Fort Lee, Va., Soldiers who were flying home for the holidays. The brigade processed more than 4,200 Soldiers leaving via POV, air, bus and train. Each year during the Christmas and New Year holiday season, U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command AIT schools conduct HBL to give military students and cadre downtime.
