Command Sgt. Maj. Jerry Dodson, Fort Polk garrison command sergeant major, gives a present to 8-year-old Vinton, Louisiana resident Drake Quibodeaux, Dec. 19. Dodson, along with his spouse, Kim, and Fort Polk Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers president Cpl. Devon Douglas, made the 2-hour trip to Drake's home to present him with Christmas cards and presents from Fort Polk units and organizations. Quibodeaux has an inoperablen uncureable cancer and had asked for 190 Christmas cards. To date, the youngster has received more than 40,000.
