Sgt. Devin Hillis, a Springfield, Mississippi native, and combat engineer with the 515th Sapper Company, 5th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, does a safety check on a lift, Dec. 19 at Nogales, Arizona. Hillis and his team are repairing cuts in the concertina wire along the Mexican border infrastructure. Soldiers will provide a range of support including planning assistance, engineering support, equipment and resources to assist the Department of Homeland Security along the southwest border.
