Timothy Conrad, the father of Sgt. Timothy Conrad Jr., who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2012, observes the tree dedicated in his son’s honor during the annual Wreath for Warriors Walk ceremony at Fort Stewart, Ga., Dec. 15, 2018. Every year since 2007, Wreaths for Warriors Walk Inc., a nonprofit organization, in conjunction with the 3rd Infantry Division, holds the remembrance ceremony in order to pay homage to the 468 Dogface Soldiers that were in killed in action during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
