    Support Supply Activity’s future leaders

Pvt. Daisy Martinez, a Bakersfield, California, native and automated logistical specialist with the 526th Quartermaster Composite Supply Company out of Fort Riley, Kansas, uses a pallet jack to move supply items throughout the warehouse at the Support Supply Activity in Powidz, Poland, Nov. 26.

Pvt. Martinez is known in the SSA for acting as a leader, in the absence of leadership. She consistently displays a sense of duty by doing what is asked of her, completing missions in a timely manner, going above and beyond her normal taskings, and improving productivity in the SSA.

The SSA in Powidz is the largest logistical warehouse in Europe, sending out items to more than 150 deployed units in Europe supporting Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to ensuring peace and stability across Europe.

“Everything starts and ends at the SSA,” said Staff Sgt. Jekingsley Sainthilaire, noncommissioned officer in charge of the SSA. “Everything that has been done so far in the issue section has been a direct result of Martinez’s hard work, attention to detail, and her passion for greatness.”(U.S. Army photo by: Spc.
