Capt. William Dudley, a field artillery officer with America’s First Corps and Pvt. First Class Edward Williams, a fire control specialist with I Corps, walk through the snow before the kickoff of Yama Sakura 75 at Camp Higadashi Chitose, Japan, Dec 7, 2018. Yama Sakura is a bilateral command post exercise with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in which U.S. and Japanese forces exchange ideas, techniques, military experience and exercise capabilities in defense of Japan. The exercise highlights the strength of the close, long-standing relationship the United States has with Japan and the JGSDF.
