Soldiers from Hawk Company, 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment train Turkish soldiers on the Engagement Skills Trainer M249 SAW at Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany, Dec. 5, 2011. The Engagement Skills Trainer is a simulator that provides initial and sustainment marksmanship training, static unit collective gunnery and tactical training, and shoot/don't shoot training. 2nd Cavalry Regiment is conducting a Small Unit Exchange with the Turkish Army from Dec. 2 to Dec. 12, 2011 to build and develop an enduring relationship with the Turkish land forces. The exchange is a 2-part exercise, with 2nd Cavalry Regiment deploying a squad sized element to train at the Turkish commando school and the Turkish army deploying a 10-man detachment to Rose Barracks to train with 2nd Cavalry Regiment.
