1st Lt. Alexander Bonnyman’s name is engraved in the Honolulu Memorial Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii. Bonnyman fought and gave his life for his country during the Battle of Tarawa; for his bravery and actions during the battle, he was rewarded the Medal of Honor, and Purple Heart.
