The Tin City Long Range Radar Site (LRRS) sits atop a 2,200 foot peak at the westernmost point on mainland North America. Tin City LRRS, along with 14 additional radar sites across Alaska, scans the airspace 24 hours a day, seven days a week, searching for possible threats. The radar sites are operated by the PRSC at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. (DoD photo by Senior Chief Petty Officer Brandon Raile)
