BRUNEI BAY (Nov. 15, 2018) - Lt. j.g. Ben Ralen, left, and Lt. j.g. Akmal Japin communicate with the bridge team aboard the Royal Brunei Navy Darussalam-class offshore patrol vessel KDB Darulaman (OPV 08) from the bridge aboard Military Sealift Command’s expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Fall River (T-EPF 4) as the ship departs Bandar Seri Begewan for the at-sea phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Brunei 2018. CARAT Brunei 2018 marks the 24th iteration of the maritime exercise series and reflects the growing relationship between the U.S. and Royal Brunei Navy to further expand bilateral and multilateral exercises in cooperatively ensuring maritime security, stability and prosperity.
