A C-130J Hercules from the 146th Airlift Wing, California Air National Guard, drops fire retardant near Abilene Regional Airport, Abilene, Texas, May 5, 2011. The C-130 is equipped with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System which is capable of dispensing 3,000 gallons of water or fire retardant in under 5 seconds. Wildfires have spread across various parts of Texas and have burned more than 1.5 million acres since January.
