    181109-N-XT039-1018 VIRGINIA CAPES (Nov. 9, 2018) Lt. Cmdr. Kristofer A. Tester, an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) and lead WTI aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), addresses the ship’s crew during a Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) Warrior Ethos Brief in the wardroom. USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) carrier strike group (CSG) cruiser-destroyer (CRUDES) units are conducting the first East Coast CRUDES SWATT. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
