Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, November 8, 2018 – U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy work together to transport heavy equipment vehicles to Saipan after Super Typhoon Yutu made landfall, damaging hundreds of homes and leaving many residents without shelter, food, or access to clean water. A Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo Vehicle (right) will be used for a variety of missions, from debris cleanup to commodity distribution. Per FEMA’s request, the military has been deployed to Saipan along with other federal and voluntary agencies to provide assistance to disaster survivors in the community. Grace Simoneau/FEMA
