Two U.S. Air Force Security Forces personnel in ABU (Airman Battle Uniform) camouflage and tactical body armor are conducting what appears to be a building entry or clearance drill. One airman is approaching a door while the other is positioned against the wall near a window in a tactical stance. The setting is a brick building, consistent with a military base training facility.

Staff Sgt. Nathaniel Williams breaches a door while Senior Airman Jonathan Garrett keeps watch during Close Quarters Battle training Nov. 1, Joint Base Charleston, S.C. CQB training prepares security forces members to handle hostage situations or a threat that is within close range. While in these situations, the security forces teams learn to neutralize high risk situations with a limited time and within close proximity. The Charleston Fire Department also came out to train them on effectively breaching doors and to conduct other non-conventional entry/exit techniques. Williams and Garrett are with the 628th Security Forces Squadron.
