Senior Airman Jonathan Garrett clears a room with his team during Close Quarters Battle training Nov. 1, Joint Base Charleston, S.C. CQB training prepares security forces members to handle hostage situations or a threat that is within close range. While in these situations, the security forces teams learn to neutralize high risk situations with a limited time and within close proximity. The Charleston Fire Department also came out to train them on effectively breaching doors and to conduct other non-conventional entry/exit techniques. Garrett is with the 628th Security Forces Squadron.
