Four individuals are gathered at the unveiling ceremony of a Tennessee Historical Commission marker for Dale Hollow Dam (1942-1943). The marker, numbered 2D-59, commemorates the construction of the dam authorized by Congress in 1938. The group includes a U.S. Army officer in dress uniform, an elderly woman touching the marker post, and two civilians, one of whom is holding a red cloth that was used to cover the sign.
