    NMCB-3 Completes Turnover, Assumes Authority of Indo-Pacific Region NCF Operations

    181022-N-TP832-1006 OKINAWA, Japan (Oct. 22, 2018) Command Master Chief Alonso Cadena, command master chief of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, and Chief Master-at-Arms Brian Thomas, prepare to raise the battalion flag during a Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority ceremony at Camp Shields in Okinawa, Japan, in which NMCB-3 received authority of the camp from NMCB-5. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
