    II Marine Expeditionary Force   

    A Marine with 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, provides security during a recent patrol through the area. Until recently the district was securely under the control of insurgent fighters who operated in the area, until the outset of Operation Eastern storm, in which the Marines of 1/6 surged into the area.
