    U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Dylan Fernandez fires 7.62 millimeter blank fire ammunition from a MAG 58 during Exercise Joint Assault Signals Company Black, Waiouru Training Area, New Zealand, Oct. 9, 2018. Fernandez, a native of Jacksonville, Illinois, is a radio operator with 1st Brigade, 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF. Opposing forces, consisting of Marines from 5th ANGLICO and components of the New Zealand Army, wielded various weapons during the training event, including the MAG 58.
