    Recreational boaters are about to enter Wilson Lock on the Tennessee River, Oct. 20, 2011. The Nashville district operates this lock, which is crucial to day-to-day commerce of the United States. Wilson Lock is located in Florence, Ala. Located at Tennessee River mile 259.4, the lock is 15 miles below the Wheeler Locks and 52.7 miles above Pickwick Lock.
