A group from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Commonwealth Port Authority, and Department of Defense civilians, contractors and service members visit the fuels farm on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 19, 2018. All parties were in Hawaii for the fourth round of land lease negotiations for future use of the Tinian International Airport. The U.S. Air Force wants to utilize the airport for military divert operations, humanitarian assistance staging, exercises and other aircraft support activities. This will establish additional divert capabilities to support and conduct current, emerging and future USAF exercises, while ensuring the capability to meet mission requirements.
