DAHLGREN, Va. (Sept. 11, 2018) – Senior Chief Fire Controlman Jeremy Brown (ret.) and U.S. Navy Ensign Dillard Patton moments after Brown rendered the first enlisted salute to Patton who then returned the salute at his commissioning ceremony held at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center. In accordance with tradition, Patton - an NSWCDD System Safety Engineering Division civilian engineer - presented a brand new silver dollar to Brown as the first enlisted service member who saluted him.
