    II Marine Expeditionary Force   

    Cpl. Brandon Thaller, a motor transportation operator with Battery E, 2nd Battalion, 12 Marine Regiment, places razor wire around the perimeter of the base to help secure it against enemy forces. The base received heavy resistance from insurgents during the initial days of the operation to establish the location.
