South Carolina National Guard motor transport operators, assigned to the 1053rd Transportation Company, South Carolina National Guard, from Bennettsville, S.C., assist local residents from Bucksport, S.C., evacuating from rising flood waters, Sept. 24, 2018. Local citizens are cautioned to “turn around, don’t drown” if they come across cones, barriers or flooded roads when traveling in affected areas of S.C. The National Guard is partnered with many agencies and together are postured and ready for Search and Rescue operations as flooding is projected to continue in the Pee Dee region of the state.
