    SAN ANTONIO – (Sept. 14, 2018) After six weeks of training, Chief Boatswain’s Mate Titus Jones Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas, assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio, was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer during a pinning ceremony held on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word. Jones, a 2004 graduate of Dunbar High School, was pinned by his wife, Keonna and their children. At the ceremony’s conclusion, active duty, retired, and former chief petty officers “Manned the Rails” and saluted Jones as he passed through the side boys and was welcomed into the NRD Chief’s Mess.
