U.S. Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force load equipment and supplies aboard a KC-130J aircraft assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 on the Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, flight line Oct. 15, 2011. The KC-130J later departed for Don Mueng, Thailand, with a 10-man humanitarian assistance survey team. The HAST will travel to Thailand, which has sustained devastating flooding from monsoons, to conduct assessments and determine the required humanitarian assistance/disaster relief support. III MEF regularly trains to respond to natural disasters during exercises held on Okinawa and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
