Gunner's Mate 2nd Class Kayla Marks prepares to fire a shot line from the fantail aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Abraham Lincoln returns to Naval Station Norfolk after Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command ordered all U.S. Navy ships in the Hampton Roads area to sortie on Sept. 10, ahead of Hurricane Florence, a storm that brought high winds and rain to the Mid-Atlantic coast.
