JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Sept. 11, 2018) – Nancy Pullen, a diabetes nurse educator at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, discusses diabetes management strategies with retired Navy chief Vendetter Boddie at a Diabetes 101 class on Sept. 11. Pullen, a native of East St. Louis, Illinois, says “The treatment plan for diabetes are things we should all be doing: eating healthy, exercising regularly, and controlling our weight. Just get up and move!” At the class, Pullen talked about diabetes, how to prevent it, and how to manage it. Patients can also talk with their primary care manager about the Diabetes Wellness Team.
