Two U.S. Army Soldiers carry an American flag across the finish line of a 5K run to commemorate the 17th anniversary of 9/11 at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Sept. 11, 2018. Today, as in 2001, Soldiers assigned with USARCENT stand ready to answer the nation's call. 9/11 memorial events like this remind Soldiers why they are deployed and give them the opportunity to honor and remember those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and in the operations since.
