U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons escort a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III as it carries 55 cases of remains of service members from the Korean War, July 27, 2018. U.S. officials recovered the remains from Wonson, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and brought them to Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency experts conducted an initial review of the remains before transferring them to their forensic laboratory at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
