Wearing more than 40 pounds of firefighting gear, U.S. Army Spc. Andy Meyreles, Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist, Mission Support Element, 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), runs the final hundred yards during the Tunnel to Tower 5k race Sept. 8, 2018, in Altamonte Springs, Fla. More than 1,000 first responders, service members and their friends and loved ones participated in this race to figuratively follow in the footsteps of Stephen G. Siller, a New York City firefighter who ran to from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to World Trade Center North Tower during 9/11 . Siller and more 400 first responders gave their lives while saving the lives of others. When not wearing the Army uniform, Meyreles, A native of Hialeah, Fla., serves as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician for the Orange County Fire Department. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
