Spc. Earlleena Clark, 95th Chemical Company, 2nd Engineer Brigade, of Fayetteville, N.C., shoots an azimuth as the unit conducts land navigation training at Grizzly Forward Operating Base, JBER-Richardson, Sept. 29. The soldiers used their skills to plot courses using a lensatic compass, protractor, and a 1:50,000 scale map to navigate to, and locate points using the grid coordinates provided. The training provides soldiers with the confidence to navigate in rough terrain, and plays a critical role in sustaining their soldiering skills and ability to shoot, move and communicate on the battlefield.
