Hyten, commander of U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Cmdr. William Filip, Alabama’s Gold crew commanding officer, and Mr. Steven Martin, the Strategic Command Consultation Committee representative, hold the 2017 Omaha Submarine Ballistic Missile Trophy following the trophy presentation. The Omaha Trophy, sponsored by Omaha's Strategic Command Consultation Committee, is awarded annually to four outstanding units that represent USSTRATCOM's mission areas, their role in global operations and USSTRATCOM's continued emphasis on strategic deterrence.
