Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Patrick Kearney says bye to his daughter and wife just prior to getting underway aboard USS Peleliu (LHA 5). Peleliu left San Diego to assist in a humanitarian and civic-action mission to several nations in Southeast Asia and Oceania called "Pacific Partnership." The deployment is being coordinated with several nations and, like the recent hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) deployment, will happen in cooperation with several non-government relief organizations.
