Culinary Specialist Seaman Brian McDairment says bye to his daughter just prior to getting underway aboard USS Peleliu (LHA 5). Peleliu leaves San Diego to assists in a humanitarian and civic-action mission to several nations in Southeast Asia and Oceania called "Pacific Partnership." The deployment is being coordinated with several nations and, like the recent hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) deployment, will happen in cooperation with several non-government relief organizations.
