SUWON AIR BASE, Republic of Korea – Rafael Sosa and Marlon Butler, senior systems analyst and reliability engineer, respectively, supporting the U.S. Army Air and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center, install a digital shock event sensor on a Patriot missile container, July 25, at Suwon Air Base, Republic of Korea. A team from USAAMRDEC spent nearly two weeks in July installing digital shock event sensors to Patriot missile containers in the inventory of 6-52 ADA Bn. With a push of a button, the sensors will tell soldiers if the container has experienced an impact beyond a specified threshold which would make the missile unreliable to be fired. (Photo by Capt.
